Aircraft, Fixed Wing
FSC 1510: Aircraft, Fixed Wing
Federal Supply Class (FSC) 1510 covers complete fixed-wing aircraft procured for U.S. military and government use. Each airframe is assigned a National Stock Number (NSN) for asset accountability, fleet management, and DLA-supported lifecycle sustainment across active-duty, reserve, and allied operators.
Fixed-wing aircraft fly combat, strike, transport, aerial refueling, reconnaissance, and pilot training missions. Their range, payload, and speed make them the backbone of air mobility and air superiority for every U.S. service branch.
Representative platforms in this class include fighters such as the F-15, F-16, and F/A-18, bombers, transports such as the C-130 and C-17, and trainer aircraft. Variants are built and sustained to MIL-SPEC and airworthiness requirements for fighter, attack, cargo, surveillance, and training roles.
