Federal Supply Class (FSC) 1925 covers special-mission vessels operated by the U.S. Navy and allied maritime forces. These platforms are tracked under NSN for parts provisioning, depot-level maintenance, and fleet support.
Special service vessels perform mine countermeasures, submarine tending, command and control, and research missions. They provide capabilities that combatant ships are not configured to deliver.
Representative platforms include mine countermeasure ships, submarine tenders, command ships, and research vessels. Hulls and systems are built and sustained to NAVSEA requirements.
